FOSSILS OF THE GAULT CLAY

& FOLKESTONE BEDS OF KENT, UK

This site is dedicated to the fossils of the lower cretaceous Albian (Gault Clay and Folkestone Beds)

in the county of Kent, South-East England. In particular the beautifully preserved faunas of the Gault Clay are illustrated and identified.

This site is dedicated to the memory of the late Jim Craig any queries _

Web site maintained since 2002 by Fred Clouter - to honour the memory of my friend Jim Craig. Unfortunately due to advanced age and other circumstances I will no longer be carrying on and the site will be taken down next May. I am hoping that either a museum or a university would be willing to take over the resposibility of running such an important and award winning site for posterity and to further develop it in the light of new discoveries and to keep it up to date.
