Help is needed to identify this ammonite. It was found in situ at the top of bed VIII in the Gault Clay of Folkestone. It is preserved as a phosphatic cast and does not appear to have been recorded from Folkestone in the past. I have been through the existing literature and cannot find any reference to this specimen, or indeed anything similar. It may well be an erratic that has floated in from a distance and may well occur in Europe or America. If there is anyone out there who can help me ID. this specimen at least to Genus, I would be very Gratefull.
